DataCentres Ireland: Free to attend with more than 1,000 industry experts
Fri, 6th Oct 2017
FYI, this story is more than a year old

The largest and longest-running national event of its kind, Data Centers Ireland, is fast approaching – perhaps more importantly, it's free!

According to event organisers, the hybrid conference and exhibition is set to demystify data center strategy and operations, enabling networking with more than 1,000 industry professionals for anyone challenged with hosting digital assets, data center and mission critical infrastructure.

Data Centers Ireland attracts industry experts, data center owner-operators, third-party hosting companies, CIOs, FMs and those responsible for their organisation's mission critical infrastructure.

The end-goal is to provide opportunities for participants to streamline their businesses, prepare for GDPR and Brexit, and in doing so meet with a range of industry experts face-to-face.

The schedule is crammed with invaluable sessions, including a keynote speech from the Minister of State for Trade, Employment, Business, EU Digital Single Market and Data Protection, Pat Breen.

The programme will also feature panels and Q-A sessions with industry experts and those leading the carrier-neutral data center market, including Tanya Duncan, MD of Interxion Ireland, Gary Watson, General Manager of Keppel Data Centers Ireland, Jerry Sweeney, CEO of Cork Internet Exchange and Barry Lowry, CIO of the Irish Government.

Two sponsored events will also be included within the event: a GDPR conference, sponsored by the GDPR Awareness Coalition, and the 10th EURECA workshop, where leading public sector figures will discuss innovation in digital infrastructure.

Event director, Hugh Robinson says he can't wait for people within the industry to meet and coalesce at Data Centers Ireland.

“This year's event is our biggest yet. The multi-stream two day conference programme is packed with over 60 industry experts and international business leaders,” Robinson concludes.

Now in its 6th year, Data Centers Ireland offers attendees the chance to:

  • Prepare for GDPR and Brexit
  • Keep up to date with industry best practice
  • Meet hosting providers face-to-face
  • Streamline digital infrastructure, save power, increase efficiency and improve resilience

Data Centers Ireland will be held at the RDS in Dublin from November 22-23 and is free for all participants.
