Westcon-Comstor first local distie for Bitglass
Mon, 25th Jun 2018
FYI, this story is more than a year old

Bitglass, a CASB provider, has appointed Westcon-Comstor as the company's first value-added distributor in New Zealand, continuing its expansion into Asia Pacific.

Westcon-Comstor is a distributor of category-leading solutions in security, collaboration, networking and data center, with capabilities in cloud, services and global deployment.

As a distributor for Bitglass, Westcon-Comstor will help Bitglass to establish it's local channel business, create market momentum and build brand awareness.

They will also provide support for partner enablement, sales acceleration and technical accreditation.

“We're very pleased to announce this new partnership with Westcon-Comstor,” says Bitglass director of channels Asia Pacific and Japan Brendon Thwaites

“We are a 100% channel-centric business and entirely committed to building strong partner relationships in New Zealand. For many partners, Westcon-Comstor is already a known quantity so that provides us with an excellent platform to launch from.

“Through partner and customer discussions this month we have already observed that Bitglass is resonating very well with New Zealand Enterprise organisations. In addition, we have a commercially feasible and highly relevant pricing model for the vast mid-market opportunity here.

“Since Bitglass is delivered as SaaS and is an agentless CASB solution we can deploy rapidly and return value almost immediately. Operationally, there are no extra resourcing demands or add-on costs related to hardware and endpoint management and only minimal user training required.

Westcon-Comstor's experienced team coupled with its business partner relationships will provide Bitglass with strong support for customer cloud security deployments.

“Westcon-Comstor is excited to be the sole distributor for Bitglass in New Zealand. Asa value-add distributor, we're committed to providing our customers with the latest technology in security,” says Westcon-Comstor sales and marketing director Simon Goode.

“With the widespread adoption of BYOD and increased utilisation of cloud applications like Office 365 and G Suite in New Zealand, unmanaged devices are leaving organisations particularly vulnerable. While there are numerous security solutions available in the market, Bitglass is unique in that it is an agentless CASB solution, allowing fast and scalable deployment, and is specifically designed for real-time protection with instant blocking, essential for today's ever-evolving threat landscape.

To date, over 300 enterprises worldwide have deployed Bitglass for cloud and mobile data security across every major sector, including financial services, healthcare, education and government.

Westcon-Comstor will be holding launch events in Wellington, Christchurch and Auckland in early August to introduce and demo Bitglass to the channel.
